Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara, Kenya
Your Masai Mara safari in Kenya departs at 09:30am, traveling through the Great Rift Valley and the town of Narok to the Masai Mara Game
Reserve in south western Kenya. You arrive at your campsite in the late afternoon. Dinner is included.

Day 2: Masai Mara, Kenya
Your day is spent enjoying extensive game viewing and exploring the beauty and diversity of the reserve. The Masai plains offer an abundance
of wildlife, including well known predators, Wildebeest, Zebra and Gazelle in the midyear migration. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Nairobi, Kenya
Today you leave the Masai Mara and travels via the northern part of the Masai lands for some excellent game viewing before passing through Narok
on your way to Nairobi, where you Masai Mara safari in Kenya ends. Breakfast is included.

4 Day Masai Mara Fly-In Safari, Kenya
 
Day 1: Fly From Nairobi to the Mara
Early morning transfer from your Nairobi hotel to Wilson Airport for the flight to the Masai Mara. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the
lodge for check in and lunch. Lunch is followed by a late afternoon game viewing drive. Return to camp for sunset drinks and dinner.

The Mara is a spectacular expanse of open grassland which covers 1,510 km² in the south-west corner of Kenya. The tree-lined Mara River has a
healthy population of hippos and crocodiles. The crocodiles are most active during the Mara River crossings of the great migration.

Wildlife roam freely throughout the vast Masai Mara Ecosystem. There are no boundaries or fences to obstruct the movement and migration of animals. The Masai Mara and the Serengeti effectively form a continuous ecosystem and jointly host the annual spectacle of the migration.

Each year, normally in August and September, the Mara plays host to the most spectacular Wildebeest Migration. Millions of ungulates move
across the plains in an endless stream. Watching this vast herd move with the predators that follow them is fascinating. Thousands of wildlife documentaries and photographs bear testament to this amazing phenomenon and reserve.
 
Day 2 & 3 : Explore the Masai Mara
Each morning rise at dawn with tea and coffee and enjoy a game drive before breakfast. An afternoon game drive with sundowners in the bush completes the activities for the day. Game drives are conducted in 4WD Landcruisers with expert guides that are knowledgeable and passionate about the flora and fauna of the Masai Mara.

There is an option to enjoy a hot air balloon ride and float across the savannah plains above herds of wildlife. Watch the sun rise over the horizon and after an hour flight (with ample opportunities for photography and video filming); enjoy a tasty bush breakfast before a return game drive back to camp.

The Maasai are a proud semi-nomadic cattle-rearing people with a fascinating culture. Meet the local Maasai community on a visit to a local school and village (manyatta).

Feel the wilderness, smell the air and experience the thrill of seeing wildlife on foot. Guided game walks are conducted in the company of Maasai guides at a comfortable pace. The guides will also provide a wealth of information on the traditional medicinal uses of plants and Masai folklore. Walks can be taken either in the morning or afternoon, and take around 1½ to 2 hours

Day 4: Depart Mara to Nairobi
Enjoy a final early morning game drive. After breakfast, transfer back to the airstrip for the scheduled flight to Nairobi, where the your Masai Mara fly-in safari ends.

8 day Lion Safari Tour, Kenya

Day 1: Nairobi, Kenya
Your Kenya safari tour starts in Nairobi, where you will be met by a hotel representative and transferred to your Kenya accommodation. You will leave by road the following morning, traveling to Samburu National Reserve.

Day 2 & 3: Samburu National Reserve, Kenya
Go on a morning drive from Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve, stopping at the Equator for a photo opportunity. Lunch is enjoyed at the safari lodge, built in the Uaso Nyiro River. After lunch you prepare for your late afternoon game viewing drive through the reserve. Overnight is at Samburu or similar with lunch and dinner included.

Wake up early for your morning game drive in Samburu. Here you will have the opportunity to view Reticulated Giraffe, Beisa Oryx, Samburu Ostrich and Gerenuk. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight is at Samburu or similar on a full board basis.

Day 4: Samburu National Reserve - Mount Kenya Forest, Kenya
Travel south to the Mount Kenya forest on day 4 of your Kenya safari tour, arriving at Mountain Lodge, set deep in the forest. Enjoy lunch overlooking a tranquil, floodlit waterhole, followed by an afternoon escorted walk through the forest with a local guide. You return to the lodge and spend the rest of the night watching nightlife from the comfort of your room. Overnight is at Mountain Lodge or similar on a full board basis.

Day 5: Mount Kenya Forest - Lake Nakuru, Kenya
There is a morning departure for Lake Nakuru, where thousands of Flamingo feed in the shallow waters. The Rothschild Giraffe and Black and White Rhino have been transplanted to this area to replenish these species. Return for lunch and prepare for your afternoon game and bird viewing around the lakeshore. Overnight is at Lake Nakuru Lodge or similar on a full board basis.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya
Travel along the floor of the Great Rift Valley and enter the Masai Mara Game Reserve on day 6 of your Kenya safari tour. Enjoy game viewing en route to the safari lodge, overlooking the open plains. Enjoy a late afternoon game viewing experience through the majestic Masai Mara. Overnight is at Keekorok Lodge or similar on a full board basis.

Day 7: Masai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya
On day 7 of your Kenya safari tour you enjoy early morning and late afternoon game viewing drives. Herds of Wildebeest and Zebra wander across the grasslands, especially during their annual migration from June to November. Overnight is at Keekorok Lodge or similar on a full board basis.

Day 8: Masai Mara - Nairobi, Kenya

Return to Nairobi today, arriving at the hotel or airport in the early afternoon, where your tour will end. Breakfast is included.

9 day Kenya Highlights Safari. Nairobi to Masai Mara

Day 1: Nairobi, Kenya
On the first day of this Kenya Highlights safari, all clients should meet for a pre-departure meeting at 08h30. This meeting will give you all a chance to meet your fellow travellers and get to know your guides. A representative will meet and assist you with your overnight accommodation in Nairobi.

Day 2: Nairobi – Mount Kenya
You head out of the city and travel north to your campsite at the foot of Mt Kenya (5199m), the second highest mountain in Africa. You have the afternoon free to enjoy an optional walk in the forest around the base of Mt Kenya, known for its prolific bird life and black and white Colobus monkeys. Camping (Mountain Rock Bantu Lodge or similar). Lunch and Dinner.

Days 3 - 4: Samburu National Reserve
Samburu National Reserve is situated on the banks of the Uaaso Nyiro River in Kenya. This means plenty of water, trees and shade to attract wildlife like Elephant, Lion, Giraffe and Zebra from the surrounding savannah plains. Leopards are also regularly spotted. The Uaaso Nyiro River's magnificent displays are the long and huge Crocodiles, which exceed 6 metres (20 feet) from snout to tail.

You will enjoy a game drive en route to your campsite and on day 4 of your Kenya safari tour you will depart on a morning game drive and return to camp for lunch. In the afternoon when the temperature cools off you head out for an afternoon game drive returning in time to prepare dinner. Accommodation for the night will be camping. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 5: Thompson's Falls
On day 5 of your Kenya safari you will travel to Thompson's Falls and arrive at approximately lunch time – you have the afternoon free to explore the
waterfalls which during the rainy season is particularly spectacular. The height of the falls is 75 metres high. Camping in Thomson Falls Lodge.
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru and Flamingos
On day 6 of your Kenya safari tour you depart for your campsite, on the Kenana Farm. Visit the Kenana Knitters, a local community development project, or the local school. You will visit Lake Nakuru National Park, which is famous for the presence of up to 2 million Flamingos, seasonally feeding on the abundant algae.

The park is also well known for its Leopard and, as it is a Rhino sanctuary, sightings of Black and White Rhino are common, as well as Lion and Buffalo. You enjoy an included game drive into the Park on this Kenya vacation. Camping (Kembu Campsite or similar). Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Days 7 - 8: Masai Mara National Reserve

The famous Masai Mara Game Reserve is known for its density of animals including the 'Big Five' and 453 species of birds. It is one of the most visited reserves in Africa. This National Reserve's plains are predominantly open savannah, interspersed with patches of acacia woodland, and along the Mara River, riparian forest. 

Whilst game viewing is excellent in the Mara all year round, the most popular time to visit is in late July into August where, over one million Wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of Zebra migrate from the Serengeti. The dramatic river crossings are a gruesome spectacle of survival of the fittest.

You will set up camp here for two nights and enjoy early starts, for your game drives, returning to camp for a late breakfast or brunch. Time to reflect and relax for the hotter part of the day and then out for another game drive in the afternoon.

You will enjoy the last night of your Kenya safari tour with a dinner around the campfire, listening to the sounds of the open bush. Camping will be outside Sekenani Gate or similar. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 9: Masai Mara to Nairobi
You will enjoy a hearty breakfast, before you break down your camp and head back to Nairobi arriving around lunchtime, where your tour ends. Breakfast. End of your Kenya highlights safari.
